Meeting for Learning (MfL), a transformative Quaker program, begins with a week-long retreat in Poatina, Tasmania. This retreat marks the start of a year-long spiritual journey for individuals interested in deepening their understanding of Quaker practices and spirituality.
About the Program:
MfL is a 12-month program that includes a retreat, ongoing support, and opportunities for reflection and growth.
Some participants will be completing their journey this year, while new participants will be beginning.
Retreats are held annually, typically for two consecutive years at the same facility. The 2026 host will be discerned soon.
This is the second time MfL will be held at the Poatina facility.
Hosted by Tasmania Regional Meeting.
Support and Community:
Participants are supported throughout the year by a local or family-based support group, helping to nurture spiritual development and connection.
Who Can Attend:
The retreat is open to Members, Attenders, and others in sympathy with Quaker faith and practices.
