World Premiere of the 2024 World Plenary Meeting Documentary
- This event has passed.
10 August @ 1:00 am - 3:00 am AEST

Friends are invited to join the online world premiere of the documentary from the 2024 World Plenary Meeting of the Friends World Committee for Consultation (FWCC), to be held on Sunday 10 August 2025 in the early morning in Australia.
The documentary brings together voices and moments from the gathering, including shared worship, discernment in thematic streams, and the outcomes that followed. It has been made with care by Friends Shayne Lightner, Sarah Rose House-Lightner, Hulda Muaka, and Lane Clark, with the support of Friends in Pacific Yearly Meeting and FWCC.
This event is a chance to reconnect with Friends from the gathering, reflect on what was planted there, and consider how it has grown in the year since.
Following the screening, there will be breakout groups to consider a few shared queries, with time to come back together in plenary. Live interpretation into Spanish and Kiswahili is being planned.
This will be the final version of the film (not the earlier rough cut shared at a few smaller events).

While the premiere time may not suit most Australian time zones, the documentary will be available to watch afterwards on FWCC’s YouTube channel.
